Removing water from wastewater treatment sludge is a critical step in reducing the volume and weight of this disposable material. Water is by far the heaviest component of sludge, making it the biggest opportunity for reducing disposal costs.

We use a variety of means to dewater sludge, including mechanical separation using centrifuges, belt filter presses, gravity belt thickeners and screw presses. Our line of superior-quality Solenis polymer flocculants achieve operator-friendly and cost-effective dewatering. This results in drier cake solids that are easier to further process by drying, composting, landfilling or landspreading.
